Canada is a country with vast landscapes and a wealth of relatively untouched natural beauty. With a population of 35 million, Canada is predominantly urban-based, despite a large area of the country being rural. The influence of France and Britain on Canada is apparent, with French widely spoken in some parts of the country, namely Quebec and parts of Ontario and New Brunswick.
The climate varies across the country, however winters are generally colder than in much of the rest of the world. There are vast differences between the different regions in Canada, which makes travelling through the country a fascinating experience, with unique landscapes in the different provinces. And don't be tempted to neglect the cities - there are many which are well worth visiting.
